Fruitvale Junior High recognized as a "Schools to Watch" for their high performance and academic excellence

In 2021 FJH was the only school in Kern County to be honored out of 100 middle/high schools across California. We are so thankful for our staff, students, and community for all the hard work.

This year’s Innovative & Impactful Schools (I²S) have been in the top 10% for English Language Arts and Mathematics on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) for the last three years within Kern County. Kern County Superintendent of Schools conducted a study to better understand the progress Kern County Schools are making by measuring “ distance from the standard” on the CAASPP. FJH was one of these amazing schools. Thank you to all the students and staff for your hard work.
