FJH Robotics students received spotlight on Eyewitness News! Fruitvale Junior High Robotics Team Featured on Eyewitness News Show Transcript in several Kern County robotics teams won the state championship in San Luis Obispo earlier this month in the same school kids Tony good morning hey guys good morning and let me do this how you it's been a whole lot of a blast you're hanging out with the students here are Fruitvale junior high as they really prepared to go to the world championship, in April or the person that kind of overseas call Misty Shelton so obviously been a lot going on here right in front of us we have you guys are in the ward winning robotics team I mean tell me about it Champions and we are also California state champion it is just unreal and so now you guys are going to be heading out to a very special event coming April talking about that where we are going to play against teams from now only around the United States from around the world so we're talkin from teams from like China from Australia and what now right correct and I have a list printed at the students than constantly look at and it's amazing to see the different countries that are represented here that we are going to meet going to be a middle school student from 40 different countries coming together to compete in to share their love of engineering championship of course they're going for that Big W at the road Championship come on we're going to go see what they're working on I want to bring in one of the students here who's also on their campus at TV news mr. Austin how we doing this morning yeah we're working on our flower right now this is what I getting into the I go for getting Five Points each disc we're having some technical difficulties just trying to see what's good and try to fix it it looks like something I would probably never be able to Bill if I'm being honest I know you're smart and so are your other team here I know you're one of two other teams here that's going to the World Championship so how long did it take you and you can feel something like this week's but never lost we just left humbled our entire bought it built this beauty we have here so kind of walk me through the different I guess technical parts of this robot right here is a stroller that we have on the field are flywheels which have an index which basically pushing the disc into a flywheel to make it in there but we have a flywheel there but shoots it and then we just have our with our wheels and then pretty soon we're going to try to add a new game that we had some new ideas with would basically whenever we shoot it it will go out there last 10 seconds it will get us three points use tile imagine it's a really quick off and have to ask you you know you going to Dallas Texas next month in April what do you most looking forward to meeting you teams from different countries.
